为了更进一步推动彩涂板事业发展的网络化，美国早在1962年就成立了世界上最大的卷板涂装联合企业一一美国国家卷材涂装者协会(NCA)，该企业是集卷板涂层的工艺技术交流、卷板和涂层原料贸易、涂层设备供应、产品买卖等信息于一体的国际性组织。该组织成员包括彩色涂层钢板的生产厂所需原材料(如涂料、金属卷材)和设备的生产厂。除定期举行会员大会讨论交流情况外，还组织专题技术论坛和新产品设计竟赛以推动彩色涂层钢板的发展和开拓市场，并收集和发布生产和销售的统计数字，制定和出版有关标准、技术手册和刊物，对彩色涂层钢板的发展起到很好的促进作用。目前，其成员数量已达到160多个，来自世界各地规模较大的彩色钢板和彩色铝板的生产、制造企业，我国宝钢公司是其中一员，该组织规模颇为宏大。
