In fact, the bending coefficient of aluminum plate is regular, which is generally 0.8 times of the thickness of aluminum plate. For example, the bending coefficient of 3mm aluminum plate is 2.4, and that of 5mm aluminum plate is 4. If the knife is used, it is better to use a sharp knife. If the pressure is too high with a straight sword knife, the aluminum plate is easy to crack.
Causes of cracking of aluminum plate after bending 180 degrees
1. The bending edge is parallel to the rolling direction of the aluminum plate, which is easy to crack. Turn the bending direction 90 degrees.
2. There are too many 180 degree bending angles, which should be greater than the minimum bending radius. Generally, the bending radius is 1.5 times of the plate thickness
3. The reason for the material is that some aluminum plates are alloy, and their toughness is not as good as that of pure aluminum plates, and they are easy to crack.
4. The thickness of the plate is too thick, bending 180 degrees exceeds the bending limit of the material.
